Besides, some players might want a break from the grim historical reality for something a bit more on the fantasy side. The following two games are not literally set during World War 2 but they deserve mentioning because they are heavily inspired by the setting and conflict. Whatever the reason for their creation, they are all worth playing. Either they are telling an interesting story, trying to honor those who fought, or using a universally known event to move copies. The games below are not necessarily advertising themselves as replicating the experience of war. Games are entertainment, after all, and there's nothing fun about going through war. It's not really something anyone would want to experience, either.
